Menjadikan Modem di PDA O2

Langkah pertama untuk menjadikan PDA anda sebagai modem tentunya anda harus mempunyai Simcard yang sudah aktif GPRSnya dan mensetting GPRS di PDA anda. Cara mensetting GPRS di PDA anda sendiri, dapat anda lihat melalui dari website GPRS masing-masing operator. Langkah berikutnya adalah anda harus menonaktifkan koneksi ActiveSync di Laptop/PC anda. Caranya, masuk program ActiveSync di Laptop / PC anda, pilih file --> Connection Settings --> hilangkan tanda centang pada menu “Allow USB connections” dan “Allow connections to one of the following”, lalu tutup program ActiveSync anda. Setelah itu kita beralih pada PDA anda, klik menu Start --> Program --> Wireless Modem. Pada pilihan Connection type pilih USB, kemudian klik Start.

Selanjutnya hubungkan kabel data dari Laptop ke PDA anda, dan laptop akan mendeteksi PDA anda sebagai modem, setelah itu laptop/PC akan meminta anda menginstall driver modem tersebut. Anda bisa mendapatkan driver modem tersebut pada CD yang terdapat pada paket penjualan PDA anda, atau jika CDnya hilang anda bisa mencari di search engine dengan kata kunci "O2 usb modem driver". Sebagai catatan, jangan menghubungkan kabel data anda ke PDA sebelum mengklik Start pada Wireless Modem karena Laptop/PC anda tidak akan mendeteksi modem PDA anda.

Setelah instalasi driver modem selesai di Laptop/PC anda, selanjutnya kita akan membuat koneksi dialer di Laptop/PC anda. Berikut langkahnya :
1. Klik Start --> Setting --> Control Panel --> Network Connections
2. Pilih Create a new connection --> Next
3. Network Connection Type --> pilih “Connect to the Internet” --> Next
4. Getting ready --> pilih “Set up the connection manualy” --> Next
5. Internet Connection --> Connect using dial up modem --> Next
6. ISP Name --> Isi dengan Access Point Name ( APN ) operator anda
7. Phone Number --> isi dengan *99# lalu Next
8. Pada Internet Account Information, Username dan Password isi dengan Username dan Password koneksi GPRS operator anda. Paramater dari APN, Username dan Password dari operator yang ada di Indonesia.
9. Hilangkan tanda centang “Make this default Internet Connection” jika anda ingin menggunakan koneksi yang sedang anda bikin ini menjadi koneksi default di komputer anda. ( Recommended )
10. Next dan Klik Finish

Setelah itu anda tinggal melakukan dial-up menggunakan koneksi yang baru ana bikin di Laptop / PC anda untuk mengakses internet.

Unable to install KB931836

Dimulai dengan ketika kita terganggu dengan update problem Windows KB931836. Isu ini terjadi karena DST Update yang telah terinstall dengan KB933360 dan termodifikasi data value dengan angka 3. KB 931836 hanya bisa terinstall jika value data dengan angka di bawah 2. Cara memperbaikinya dengan cara manual registry windows dengan merubah value data dengan angka 0

Update selalu muncul berkelanjutan yang menyatakan siap untuk di install tapi ketika kita mengupdate nya terjadi yaitu pada gambar di bawah ini.



Dibawah ini adalah cara/instruksi untuk memperbaikinya


1. "Start" -> "RUN" type "regedit" dan klik "OK"

2. Didalam registry windows cari " HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Time Zones " ( tanpa tanda kutip )

3. Didalam Right Panel cari data " TZVersion " dan rubah value data menjadi " O "

4. Close "registry" dan restart komputer

Setelah selesai melakukan yg diatas, silahkan mencoba lagi untuk installed KB 931836

Lupa Password Domain Controller dan Bagaimana cara me-resetnya

Dimulai ketika sebuah server domain controller telah terbuat dan seketika itu juga lupa admin password dari sebuah Domain Controller, bujug dah........... kacau berat, tapi bagaimanapun selama ada search engine bernama Google pantang menyerah.

Berikut bagaimana cara me-reset atau bisa dibilang merubah sebuah admin password domain controller. Berikut link informasi web nya http://www.nobodix.org/seb/win2003_adminpass.html

Requirements

These are compulsory!

You need:

1/ Local access to the Domain Controller (DC).
2/ The Local Administrator password.
3/ Two tools provided by Microsoft in their Resource Kit: SRVANY and INSTSRV. Download them from here.

The Local Administrator account is also called Directory Restore Administrator or Machine Account. The password is set at Windows installation. It is possible to reset this password using some (free) recovery tools.

The trick has been tested on a domain with a single DC. If your domain has multiple DCs, it should not matter which one you decide to use.

Let's get started

Step 1

Restart Windows 2003 in Directory Restory Service Mode.

Note: At startup, press F8 and choose Directory Restore Service Mode. It disables Active Directory.

When the login screen appears, log on as Local Administrator. You now have full access to the computer resources, but you cannot make any changes to Active Directory.

Step 2

You are now going to install SRVANY. This utility can virtually run any programs as an NT Service. The interesting point is that the program will have SYSTEM privileges (as it inheritates SRVANY security descriptor), i.e. it will have full access on the system. That is more than enough to reset a Domain Admin password. You will configure SRVANY to start the command prompt (which will run the 'net user' command).

Copy SRVANY and INSTSRV to a temporary folder, mine is called d:\temp. Copy cmd.exe to this folder too (cmd.exe is the command prompt, usually located at %WINDIR%\System32).

Start a command prompt, point to d:\temp (or whatever you call it), and type: instsrv PassRecovery "d:\temp\srvany.exe"

(Replace d:\temp with your folder name)

It is now time to configure SRVANY.

Start regedit, and open the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\PassRecovery.

Create a new subkey called Parameters and add two new values:

value: d:\temp\cmd.exe

name: AppParameters
type: REG_SZ (string)
value: /k net user administrator new_password

'net user username password' is the command line utility to set a new password. Replace new_password with the password you want. Keep in my mind that some domain policies require complex passwords (including digits, respecting a minimal length etc.)

Now open the Services applet (Control Panel\Administrative Tools\Services) and open the PassRecovery property tab. Check the starting mode is set to Automatic.

Show the Log On tab and enable the option Allow service to interact with desktop.

From now on, anytime you restart Windows, SRVANY will run the netuser command and reset the domain admin password.

Step 3

Restart Windows in normal mode and wait for the login screen. You will not see the command prompt running the net user command as it is displayed on another desktop. But no worries, the command is still executed in the background.

Log on as Administrator on your domain by using the password you set above. The system should grant you access. If not, go back to Step 2 and check you did not mistype any commands or values.

When the desktop is displayed, you should see a command prompt. This is the one started by SRVANY.

Use this command prompt to uninstall SRVANY (do not forget to do it!) by typing:

Now delete d:\temp and change the admin password if you fancy.

Robert Strom has written a cool script that will completely automate this process. He wrote:

"My script is really just an automation of his process which performs all the post cleanup of itself. Launch one script and it's all done. No manual registry entries, the service is created, the service settings are all imported into the registry, etc."

Windows XP Repair

Berikut tahapan2 memperbaiki windows XP

1. Memperbaiki Windows XP dari CD Boot Windows (Repair Install)

- Masukkan CD Windows XP Anda dan lakukan booting dari CD tersebut.
- Pilih opsi repair Ketika sudah muncul opsi Repair, tekan tombol R untuk memulainya
- Tekan tombol F8 "I Agree at the Licensing Agreement"
- Tekan tombol R saat direktori tempat Windows XP Anda terinstal. Biasanya C:\WINDOWS
- Berikutnya Anda akan melihat sebuah gambar "progress bar" yang merupakan bagian dari perbaikan,
seperti instalasi XP normal biasanya, meliputi "Collecting Information, Dynamic Update,
Preparing Installation, Installing Windows, Finalizing Installation".
- Pilih tombol Next
- Masukkan Serial Number Windows XP jika diperlukan
- Restart.
- Selesai

2. NTOSKRNL Rusak atau Hilang (Missing or Corrupt)

Jika Anda mendapati pesan error bahwa "NTOSKRNL not found" / NTOSKRNL tak ditemukan, lakukan:
- Masukkan CD Windows XP dan booting dari CD tersebut.
- Pada saat muncul opsi R=Repair yang pertama, tekan tombol R.
- Tekan angka sesuai dengan lokasi instalasi Windows yang ingin diperbaiki yang sesuai.
- Biasanya #1
- Pindahlah ke drive CD Drive Anda berada.
- Tulis: CD i386
- Tulis: expand ntkrnlmp.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe
- Jika Windows XP Anda terinstal di tempat lain, maka ubahlah sesuai dengan lokasinya.
- Keluarkan CD Anda dan ketikkan EXIT

3. HAL.DLL Rusak atau Hilang (Missing or Corrupt)

Jika Anda mendapatkan error berkenaan dengan rusak atau hilangnya file hal.dll, ada kemungkinan
file BOOT.INI mengalami salah konfigurasi (misconfigured).

- Masukkan CD Windows XP dan booting dari CD tersebut.
- Pada saat muncul opsi R=Repair yang pertama, tekan tombol R.
- Tekan angka sesuai dengan lokasi instalasi Windows yang ingin diperbaiki yang sesuai.
- Biasanya #1
- Tulis: bootcfg /list
Menampilkan isi/masukan pada file BOOT.INI saat ini
- Tulis: bootcfg /rebuild

4. Direktori \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG rusak atau hilang

- Tekan angka sesuai dengan lokasi instalasi Windows yang ingin diperbaiki yang sesuai.
- Biasanya #1
- Masukkan password administrator jika diperlukan.
- Tulis: cd \windows\system32\config
- Berikutnya tergantung di bagian mana letak terjadinya kerusakan:

a. Untuk partisi tipe FAT
- Silakan Anda melakukan booting dari disket Win98 Anda dan salinlah file NTLDR atau NTDETECT.COM
dari direktori i386 ke drive induk/akar (root) C:\

b. Untuk partisi tipe NTFS
- Masukkan CD Windows XP dan booting dari CD tersebut.
- Pada saat muncul opsi R=Repair yang pertama, tekan tombol R.
- Tekan angka sesuai dengan lokasi instalasi Windows yang ingin diperbaiki yang sesuai.
- Biasanya #1
- Masukkan password administrator jika diperlukan.
- Masukkan perintah berikut, dimana X: adalah alamat drive dari CD ROM Anda (Sesuaikan!).
- Tulis: COPY X:\i386\NTLDR C\:
- Tulis: COPY X:\i386\NTDETECT.COM C:\
- Keluarkan CD Anda dan ketikkan EXIT
